THE BABY IS WONDERFUL! HE HAS A LITTLE DIFFERENT LOOK THAN THE GRANDKIDS. AND HAS LONG THIN ARMS, LEGS, HANDS, FEET AND TOES AND FINGERS. VERY THIN AND DELICATE RIGHT NOW. KINDA LOOKS LIKE A HOLOCAUST VICTIM. VERY CUTE THOUGH! NOW FOR THE CRAPPY PART- I'M SITTING HERE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT AS A CREW IS TEARING OUT MOST OF THE BASEBOARD IN THE HOUSE TO DRY OUT OUR WALLS AFTER WE HAD AN INCH OF WATER IN THE HOUSE FROM A DEFECTIVE TOILET RUNNING OVER. WE WERE GONE FOR SEVERAL HOURS AND THE ENTIRE HOUSE WAS FLOODED WHEN WE GOT HOME. IT WAS SURREAL WALKING IN THE DOOR AND REALIZING I WAS WALKING IN WATER. IT WILL TAKE A FEW DAYS TO DRY OUT. I THINK THE SALTILLO FLOOR IS OK AND HOPEFULLY THE CARPET IN THE BEDROOM IS TOO. DADDY THINKS HE USED THE TOILET RIGHT BEFORE LEAVING THE HOUSE. I'M SO GLAD IT WASN'T ME! NOT HIS FAULT THOUGH. IT'S A DEFECTIVE VALVE THAT DIDN'T SHUT OFF. AT LEAST THE WATER WAS CLEAN. IT HAD ALREADY FLUSHED THEN JUST DIDN'T SHUT OFF. WE'RE SLEEPING IN THE GARAGE FOR THE NEXT FEW NIGHTS. SUCH ADVENTURES FOR TWO OLD PEOPLE!

next day
Because of the flu epidemic raging through the area, anyone under 18 could not go in the hospital. Fortunately the window was very conveniently located.

Little Chris Allen was born around 4:30 pm today. He was 5 Lbs 11 Ounces. I haven't seen him yet though because I've been watching the other baby and they won't let kids under 18 through the doors. So me and Adam have been at home. But yay! Me and Rachie are aunties and Adam's a hunky uncky!

Bryan's email today
Holy cow everyone and their dog wrote me an email. I should have a birthday more often. Okay our president planched us the other day and said we can only spend an hour writing emails so I have to be fast. Glad everyone liked the baptism story. I still bust up laughing thinking about it. Also thanks for all the pictures I think my companion liked them more than I did. He wants to write Danielle but I told him he has to learn English first. This week we had two more baptisms and these ones were very normal without any problems. The older lady is Carolina and she is just the most humble and Christ-like lady that I have ever met. She has a beautiful daughter almost the exact same age as Rachel. The sad part though is that she had a really hard time having children and actually had several abortions. Then her loser husband left her in the last one because it was looking like both her and the baby would die. Well he was wrong and they both lived and now he has to live with his stupid decision. She is amazing though because when she tells us about all this stuff there is no anger or sadness in her voice she just accepts it as the way things are. Accepts it as Gods will and she still lets her husband see the baby and everything. She also tried sharing a little of the gospel with him and showed him all the pamphlets and stuff that we have given her but he just looked at it and said it wasn’t true. He is one of those people that tries to pretend they don’t believe in God. I say tries because in my time here I have become convinced that there is no such thing as an atheist. Sure a lot of people say they are but they cant even convince themselves let alone convince me. Pretty much Carolina is amazing and since the very first time we met here she has always seen the good in us and what this church can give her. I baptized her and it felt so good when I did it. I knew that the Lord had been preparing her for a long time to accept this gospel and when she came out of the water it was one of the most amazing spiritual experiences of my life. Gosh I love it here!
Then we also baptized Samantha who is a twelve year old and is a friend of one of the members in our ward. Now I know I said twelve year old but she has the knowledge of a forty year old. When I first talked to her was after her friend gave her a Book of Mormon and she had already come to church. All I can say is holy cow she is golden. She said she never really believe in any religion but when she started reading the Book of Mormon she just could not deny it. We taught her everything and she just accepted it all and now She is bringing in her entire family. Her mom already wants to be baptized and her Sister is very interested. Its so amazing how the work unfolds. I have to go right now so I cant really answer any of your questions but Ill try next week. Love you!

Email from last Monday
Wow I don’t know what you have all been feeding grandma lately but keep doing it because it sure is keeping her alive and kicking. I only wrote that because every time I check my emails the ones that say “no subject” in the subject line are the ones from mom or grandma. It was just a little joke I didn’t mean to start a war or anything. I love my Diesen qualities Grandma. Pretty much if we teach someone with little kids I always end up playing with the kids while my companion teaches. The little daughter of Hugo y Lourdes does the same thing Anni would do every time I go to their house. She runs up and grabs my hand and looks up at me with her big brown eyes and says “Quiere Jugar.” Then I say no but she never believes me and before you know it we have every toy in the house spread all over the floor just playing our little hearts out. Yeah pretty much all of our investigators or members with little kids are my favorite to go visit. Yeah pretty much I walk down a street and all the guys want to be me all the girls want to date me and all the kids want to play with me. Sometimes I play baseball with this one group of kids and its pretty fun even though they don’t really know how to play. I always try to tell them that you cant run once the pitcher has the ball but they told me they don’t like the rules. Its fun though because we play with just a normal like basketball type ball and we use our arms as bats. But pretty much once they hit it they just keep running around the bases unless you hit them with the ball. Anyway though I love you Grandma and I love my Diesen and Pitman heritage that have made me the lovely cudely person that I am.
This week we baptized a crazy lady. We always knew she was crazy throughout our time of teaching her but on Sunday it really showed. First of all she left in the middle of gospel principles class and didn’t tell us anything. We thought we had lost her but we went to her house and she said she just got hungry and she was still ready to be baptized. Then we returned and had her baptism. Me and My companion figured out why the Catholics don’t baptize by immersion anymore. We think it was because Constantine had a fear of water. Yeah pretty much I was the one doing the baptism originally and she didn’t want to go in backwards at all so we were like ok you can go in forwards but she didn’t like that idea much either so we got down on our knees and we thought we would be all right. Then we opened the doors and I said the prayer and she stuck her face in the water and nothing more. So then we shut the doors and I demonstrated for her what she needed to do like five times. The real problem though was that she wasn’t a very small lady so she kind of floated very easily. Anyway we thought we were good so we opened the doors again and did it again and it was the same. So then my companion goes and changes into one of the other white outfits we had and got in the water and we demonstrated for her again like five times so here me and my companion are completely soaked and by the way my companion didn’t bring other garments. By this point my companion was just mad so he just told them to open the doors and he said the prayer as fast as he could and then we both just shoved her under has hard as we could. We pretty much got everything as far as we know and our bishop told us if not the lord will forgive us because we were in the water for like forty minutes trying to do this. Yeah so pretty much if you have ever wondered why the way to be baptized was changed there is your reason. I don’t have any pictures of it this week because I forgot to bring my camera here but Ill have them next week.
Got to go but I love you all and everybody go and give grandma Diesen a big hug and tell her sorry for me the next time you see her. Adios
Bryan Mail
This is Bryan's email address - eldersieler@myldsmail.net
It is the quickest and easiest way to communicate with him. He checks mail every Monday so I try and have something sent by Sunday. He can get pictures as attachments.
I don't think he has a way of printing anything off so if you want to send him something that he can carry with him like a letter or pictures you can either use a postcard or single sheet of paper folded into thirds and addressed with his pouchmail address. I have sent him pictures this way. I just print a picture out on a piece of paper.
