You guys missed the most amazing varsity b-ball game!! It was the deciding game between Troy and Plains to see who goes on to divisionals the next 2 weekends. The entire game was back and forth by anywhere from 1 point to 6 points. Usually Plains was running behind. So, anyhow, the last quarter we were down by as much as 6 and both teams were really hustling. At one point we were down by 1 and got 3 freethrows, but Cassy missed ALL of them. Then they missed some of theirs and we were able to stay 1 behind. The last play had about 25 seconds as Troy took it down the court. Plains fouled them at 12 seconds in hopes of rebounding and getting 2 points. Well, the Troy girl missed BOTH her freethrows and we headed down court with just 12 seconds. Heather, the Point Guard drove it in and just missed so Emma, their Post rebounded and shot, but missed. At the 2 second mark, Lacey comes out of the mass of arms and throws a desperation shot and SWOOSHED it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Plains gymnasium went insane!! Kelsey is so excited to be headed into Divisionals. I'm sure she'll get some play time. They have 5 games guaranteed over the next two weekends, and next weekend is scheduled to be played at the Salish Kootani College gymnasium!!

Awesome! Hey Kelse- how's that knee? How did the JV do? Have you played much? Sure hope you get to play Varsity in the College gym. That's toooooo cool! What am I doing in Arizona? Actually, I've been getting in on some of Katie's 8th grade games. They are a small team so struggle against bigger girls. Katie's about your size. She has played some at point guard but her strong suit is her defensive play. She's getting more aggressive all the time. They had their last game yesterday and lost by one lousy point after being ahead at the start of the game. She hurt her arm on top of the loss and was not happy. If Grampa wouldn't grumble I'd be on a plane heading north, but he's got me on a pretty tight leash. Next year I may be sneaking up this time of the year to get in on some of the end of your season instead of the beginning. Anyway, have fun!!!!!! Love you!
After what Eureka did to the Plains girls, guess who will win divisionals. Or is Eureka in another division? I wouldn't be surprised to see them take State. They're huge! How did the Plains boys do? They were incredible to watch.
hey gramma....guess what....our boys took first in districs, now they are headed off to divisionals this next week with us. We all hope they can take that one home too. Trent...the super tall kid, has been dunking it every game. it is pretty awesome, you really have missed out! guess what else...The boys beat Thompson falls by 18 in the championship game! YES ! Man i hate thompson falls...ewwww...i hate to even say that word!(thompson falls!!!) well i will see you soon! GOOOOOOO HORSEMEN AND TROTTERS!
